Concept:

It celebrated success in 2003 with Anil Ambani. Rahul Dravid became the face of a dogged young India in 2004. Winning against all odds was the mantra with Shahrukh Khan in 2005.Mahinder Singh Dhoni made his own rules in 2006. And in 2007, no single person defined the young Indian more than Orkut –a social networking site, which became a movement for Youngistaan!

This year Pepsi & MTV are looking for 30 young icons. Young people who have made a difference. They could be young entrepreneurs, designers, social workers, actors, singers… they may not be super achievers, but have done enough to inspire their peer group to think differently!

So if you think you fit the bill or if you know somebody that does, do send in your nominations! All of October, your nomination for youth icon or it could even be YOU will be featured on MTV. The final eight icons will become the PEPSI MTV YOUTH ICONS for the year 2008.

And Pepsi will celebrate the spirit of Youngistaan & its icons by featuring them on Pepsi MY CANS

Indian Idol Season 4: Sony TV

Concept:
Based on the popular American Idol is India’s biggest singing based talent show, Indian Idol.  Indian Idol Season 4 registration began on April 1st, 2008. The show proposes that auditions will take place in Calcutta, Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Gwalior and Lucknow, with the possibility of other cities being added in the future. The fourth season will see Anu Mallik and Javed Akthar on the hot seats as they take judges’ chair once again for the show.

The final 100 contestants are slated to be chosen between June and July 2008, the final 30 by October 2008. A special “Wild Card” episode will take place on or about November 2008. The Grand Finale of season 4 is set to take place on or about February 2009 where the fourth Indian Idol will be selected by public vote and presented via a “Live” recorded performance.
